Love Yourself
We all have pieces within us that we don’t like. Facets of ourselves that are difficult to swallow or come to terms with. In our humanity, in our humanness we are both perfect and messy all at the same time.
We have facets of ourselves that want to scream in absolute and utter rage.
We have pieces within us that are so afraid and terrified and closed off.
We have things that we don’t like or will not accept.
We have people pleasing.
We have narcissism.
We have selfishness.
We have secretive isolation.
We all have different aspects of ourselves, within ourselves, that we shun and push aside, because they have been part of our journey, part of our soul’s path, part of our evolution of experiences and emotions as we have traversed in various lifetimes.
I have felt these facets of myself so many times.
Sometimes mine can feel like total raging anger, or a frightful little toddler, or a demanding voice, or a statement that I am not worthy.
But what I have learned is that all these aspects of myself need is love. Like mama bear come here let me hug you even though you are being obnoxious, or sobbing, or throwing a massive tantrum, love. To me these facets of myself act like a toddler–and what do toddlers truly only need? Love.
All they want is to be loved. You shunned them, and shoved them aside and compartmentalized them within yourself and said yuck I am not that. I don’t like that, go over there. But what I have come to realize is by doing that you continue to perpetuate that facet of yourself. Because all that facet of yourself wants is to come into wholeness and be loved. All aspects of yourself just want love and want to come into the wholeness of who you truly are. They want to come home–to you, to love, to the fullness of who you are.
This practice of loving ALL aspects of yourself. And I mean EVERYTHING is incredibly powerful. It’s an integration back into wholeness. Back into centeredness. And it’s so, so beautiful.
You are all of those things–but they don’t need to rule your life anymore. They just need to be loved. That’s all, just loved.
When you truly and fully come into the wholeness of love within yourself. And loving yourself fully–ALL aspects of yourself. You come back ‘home.’ To who and what you truly are.
And I promise by deeply loving yourself, your life will change. And it will change in more beautiful ways than you could ever imagine. The wholeness and magic within you will radiate out love towards our planet, love towards all animals, love towards all people.
And when our world is full of people who truly love themselves to the core this will reflect and radiate out creating a new earth. A new beautiful, magical, glorious place to live.
I see the beauty in each and everyone of you (imperfect aspects and all) and I love you.
